Guidelines for getting the best quality image

First, let me help you better grasp the size of the files (photos or images) you might want to upload. Files of low quality will also be low quality when printed.

Print size

Print size is the image size that will be printed on the product, measured in inches or centimeters.

The maximum size of the print area depends on the product you choose. The standard print area for mouse pads is 9.6″ x 7.9″ and accepted print file formats are PNG, JPG, and PDF.

File size

The file size is measured in bytes, which tells how much space the image occupies on a disk or drive. For example, the maximum file size of an image you can upload on Custom Gifts & Things is 100 MB.

Resolution

The resolution is the density of pixels or dots in an image. The resolution is expressed in PPI (pixels per inch) for digital images, and the resolution is defined in DPI (dots per inch) for printed images. If you download an image from the web, check the dpi – images are usually 72 dpi going straight off a web page.

The higher the DPI = the more dots = best print
The lower the DPI = the fewer the dots = worst print

A DPI between 150 dpi and a maximum of 300 dpi is preferred. Going beyond 300 dpi does nothing but make the file size stupidly large.

Color settings

Set your color profile for sRGB IEC61966-2.1 in your editing software if possible.

And please do not …

… upload images that are hateful, illegal, or violate any copyright and they won’t be processed.

Color disclaimer

Due to monitor & device settings and monitor pixel definitions, I cannot guarantee that the color you see on your computer or device screen will be the exact color of the product. I strive to make the colors as accurate as possible. However, colors are approximations of the actual printed colors.
