Description
E-Gift Cards
Purchasing Gift Cards
Gift cards can be purchased like any other product in my store. When purchasing a gift card as a gift, you must specify the following:
- One or more recipients
- The sender’s name
- A short message
- A delivery date
A unique gift card code will be generated once your order has been paid. Depending on the specified delivery date, the code will be e-mailed to the selected recipient(s) within a few minutes if the gift card was purchased for immediate delivery. Otherwise, the gift card code will be sent on the specified date at about the same time.
Redeeming Gift Cards
Once a gift card code has been generated, anyone with access to it can use it to pay for orders by entering it directly at checkout. Or they may redeem the gift card by adding it to their account for later use. If their account has a balance from a previous gift card, it will be added to the current balance.
From the customer’s account page, they can view card balances, redeemed cards that are still active, and view the history of card transactions.
